The Return of Little Sherlock

After a very long absence from my blog, Little Sherlock is back! The Game Changers post was the final post before my break, which was unintended, but very ironic looking back on everything that has happened since then.

Shortly after Game Changers, my Grandma Gert passed away. This was extremely hard on the whole family because she was such a loving and compassionate person. Grandma Gert was the epitome of a game changer. When her husband passed away at a young age, she was left to raise eight children all on her own, and she did it in style.

When I visited Grandma Gert in the hospital a few weeks before she passed, she asked me what was up next for me, and I told her about my new job that was starting soon in New York City. I told her how nervous and unsure I was because it was such a big change, and she gave me a very honest reply. She said that life is hard, and it comes with lots of challenges, but all we can do every day is our best in any situation. She knew that I would be perfectly happy, and she could see that even before I could.

Fast forwarding to now, I have been living in NYC for over a month and have been at my new job which I totally love. There have definitely been a few moments where it has been tricky for me to get adjusted to this completely different life, but when I think about how blessed I am, and when I think about where I came from, I know this is where I am meant to be. Life isn't always easy, but it is beautiful and the struggles remind us of our strength.

There are a lot of big things coming up for little sherlock, and lots of cool stories to keep an eye out for. NYC is a playground full of different people with different styles so this will only mean MORE fashion, MORE crazy outfits, and MORE stories! Thank you to everyone who has been so supportive during my transition here, and so patiently waiting for more little sherlock....its back up and will be more fabulous than ever!
